MV/LV oil transformers

Oil transformers are set apart by their construction quality and reliability. The magnetic core is made of isolated oriented grain magnetic metal plates on both sides. The particular cut and assembly of the casing means the step lap joints reduce noise as well as no load current.
The low voltage winding is installed internally and the medium voltage winding is placed externally to obtain a compact and robust MV+LV coil (suitable for supporting heavy electrodynamic strains caused by short circuits).
Each transformer has a commutator which allows the alignment of voltage available in the machinery. The tank is normally made of steel and its sections are welded together to obtain an excellent oil holding even in high temperatures.
The insulation used in the MV side is made in compliance with 20/250 UNEL 38144-74 standards while the insulation on the LV side are compliant with UNEL 38128-67 standards.

The main function of these tranformers is to guarantee the galvanic separation between the electric machinery and the grid, protecting against electric shocks due to malfunctions in machinery connected after the transformers.
They furthermore guarantee the galvanic separation in case of systems exposed to strong atmospheric conditions and sensitive machinery, thanks to the reinforced isolation and the electrostatic screen protector (earth connectable) in the first and second coils.

MV/LV cast resin transformers

CEG Trafo stands out for its high quality production, thanks to the use of advanced technologies through continuous monitoring during the entire production process followed by a final test of the entire production.
The medium voltage winding consists of an aluminum coil with a double insulating layer.
This type of processing allows to obtain a uniform thickness of the internal and external resin layer and guarantees uniform resistance to the dielectric stresses to which the transformer is subjectedduring its life.
The primary winding is equipped with valves for adjusting the primary voltage.
Magnetic core type ensures low losses.
